Biochemistry

This section of the lab performs general chemistry, toxicology, therapeutic drug monitoring and electrolytes to support critical care and emergency medicine services. Semi automated clinical chemistry analyzer with real time graph, built in self diagnosis for accurate test results

Haematology

Haematology is a branch of medicine concerned with the study of the cause, prognosis, treatment and prevention of diseases related to blood. It involves treating diseases that affect the production of blood and its components such as blood cells, haemoglobin, platelets and mechanism of coagulation.Analyser provides an accurate, comprehensive haematology results in real time, with absolute reticulocyte count, a true five-part white blood cell differential for a full analysis, closed-tube sample processing means no sample preparation and no contamination.

Serology

Lab tests are essential to building and maintaining your personal health care plan.

Fasting, and two-hour post-prandial blood glucose tests: fasting or eating meals at specific times may be required.

A patient may be instructed not to urinate for at least one hour before the test and/or to drink a glass of water 15-20 minutes before sample collection.

Fasting for 9-12 hours may be required.

Follow any instructions provided to you. While fasting, you usually are allowed water but should not drink anything else, including coffee, before your sample is collected. Caffeine and other ingredients in coffee can affect the results of some tests.

For all practical and routine purposes, it is ideal to transfuse to the patient the same group of blood which he/she belongs to. It is only under very dire emergencies that we take O group as universal donor and AB groups as universal recipient. Under no circumstances O group can get any other blood except O. Similarly A group patient cannot be given B group blood and vice versa.
